Clean Play DVDs scammed me big time. They didn't see me the free movies they were promoting when you bought 4. Also they charged $33.00 dollars for shipping and their site said it would be sent FIRST class mail. When I got the package it cost them $2.15 and they sent it MEDIA rate. I contacted them about these issues, but they have not returned my emails or phone calls.

Riggins,
I'm with you... I ordered a bunch of movies from them while they were closing down and half of my movies are incorrect (the wrong movies). Somehow American Gangster got labeled as Monty Python & the Holy Grail. I am thoroughly upset and I also got gipped on the shipping. I tried to call, but the message says that the mailbox is full and emailed with no result. It really is sad that one of the only good things in movies turned out to be such a rip off.... Is there anything can be done????

Contact them now. They are under new ownership and are very responsive now.

Clean Play DVDs is still a rip off. It takes about 6-8 weeks to receive your order, (IF AT ALL). Some of the movie titles say "pre-order." It is because they do not have them and they will not have them. If you have one of those in your order, expect about 3 to 4 MONTHS before your order ships. On top of all that, good luck trying to dispute the charge with your credit card company. The customer service at Clean Play DVDs sucks!

We are very satisfied customers of cleanplaydvds. We have ordered from them many, many times with nothing but excellent service. Once a movie was mislabeled but it was one we wanted anyway, but when we notified them by e-mail they gave us a free dvd on our next order (which we did not even request).

We get several e-mail notifications on the progress of each of our orders. This is exceptional service! We also get e-mail notifications of the frequent sales, and we get a free dvd when we refer another customer to them.

Our co-workers are also very happy with the service. We also don't think the handling/shipping charges are too much at all - the price of the dvds is low and we pay no sales tax.

We are thankful for a great source for clean, exceptionally well-edited movies.

Thank you, Clean Play - you are providing a great service!!!!

The only thing we don't like is Google Check Out - this part is what stinks!!!

I was extremely disappointed. I purchased 4 movies from another online website (goodmoviesonline.com) a year or so ago, which sadly doesn't exist anymore and they came with the original copy of the movie and the edited version, in it's original case! And it was wrapped in cellophane!

When I purchased from these guys, I got the EDITED movies ONLY in cheap paper sleeves, for the SAME price! They also charged me around $10.00 for S&H. Upon getting the package I realize, because it said on the envelope that they ONLY PAID $1.73!! What?!??

It took them 5 days or so to respond to my complaint and they ARE offering a refund, but it's just ridiculous! These movies were going to be a Christmas present and now I have to think of something else. I will never purchase from these people again.

If you are looking for OVERPRICED edited movies in cheap paper sleeves, this is the place for you :)

I have ordered DVDs from CleanPlay several times over the past 12+ months and never had a problem. When you factor in the sales they regularly advertise, the DVDs seem reasonably priced to me. If you order at least 3 or 4 DVDs at a time, the haDVD prices plus shipping usually amount to a per-DVD cost that is less than what I would pay for the DVD at Wal-Mart.

Once they forgot to ship my DVD order, but after I sent them an email reminding them, they shipped my order express.

I ordered 3 DVDs when they were allegedly "closing" and all 3 came to me damaged in the mail. cracked. Not sure if it happened on their end or from the post office or however they were sent. I have emailed Lori 3 or 4 times asking if she can resend me the movies and theres never any response. today I called a number on their website and left a message. I'm really bummed because I paid about $30 or so for these movies and I really want to see them. Now I'm afraid I never will be able to.
